Plastic

This look, earning the Grand Prize in Recycled Runway 9 (2018), was designed to embody the purpose of Recycled Runway: to repurpose trash in order to promote sustainability and foster community support for young artists. The most detail was put into the jacket. First, the textile was made by creating unique triangles with different types of plastic which were then sewn together to give the garment volume and texture. The top, the pants, and the jacket were all hand patterned.
